Zamfara APC Refutes Alleged Suspension of State Chairman, Citing Disgruntled Promoters’ Actions

The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has vehemently rejected the purported suspension of the state party Chairman, Tukur Danfulani, dismissing it as baseless. This rebuttal was conveyed in a statement issued in Gusau on Saturday by the state APC Publicity Secretary, Malam Yusuf Idris.

Idris clarified that the alleged suspension stemmed from individuals identifying as executives of the party’s Galadima Ward in Gusau Local Government Area, whom he labeled as disgruntled promoters.

Expressing concern over the motivations behind the purported suspension, Idris highlighted suspicions of certain politicians’ intentions to disrupt the party’s unity in preparation for the 2027 elections, potentially by forming a new party.

“We are aware that some selfish politicians are trying to create problems in the APC in the state, but we believe their evil plan will fail,” he asserted.

Furthermore, Idris emphasized that if any party members held grievances against the chairman, there are constitutional channels and procedures in place to address such issues, which were allegedly not followed in this instance, rendering the suspension invalid.

He denounced the claims made by the discontented individuals as groundless and aimed at destabilizing the party’s leadership and unity across all levels.

Idris also cautioned journalists and media organizations against hastily publishing such contentious matters without first verifying them with the party headquarters in the state.
