According to insights from transfer specialist Ben Jacobs, Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen is prioritizing a switch to the English Premier League this summer, with Chelsea, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) showing strong interest in securing his signature.
Despite recently extending his contract with Napoli until June 2026, the Serie A champions are open to parting ways with Osimhen, who possesses a release clause around €130 million as per his new agreement.
Jacobs’ sources suggest that Arsenal remains a contender in the pursuit of Osimhen, while PSG sees him as a top target, especially with potential funds available following Kylian Mbappe’s anticipated departure.
Emphasizing Osimhen’s inclination towards the Premier League, Jacobs highlights Chelsea and Arsenal as prime destinations for the striker. All three clubs are reportedly willing to meet his salary demands of approximately £250,000 per week.
Osimhen’s recent performances, including goals against Barcelona in the Champions League and Cagliari in Serie A, underscore his quality. Since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), he has amassed 10 goals in 20 appearances across various competitions under manager Francesco Calzona.
Having joined Napoli in 2020, Osimhen has been a prolific scorer, notching 69 goals in 121 matches for the Partenopei. His standout performances contributed significantly to Napoli’s Serie A triumph in the 2022/23 season, marking their first Scudetto win in 33 years.
