With the Super Falcons carrying a 1-0 advantage into the second leg in Pretoria, courtesy of a 43rd-minute penalty strike by captain Rasheedat Ajibade, Jadesola and her passionate supporters rallied behind the team at the Mko Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
Filled with delight over the first-leg victory against South Africa’s Bayana Bayana, Jadesola remains optimistic about the Falcons’ prospects, believing they are poised to end their 16-year hiatus from the Olympics. She emphasized the team’s readiness, determination, and focus, expressing confidence that they will bring joy to Nigerians.
Reflecting on their unwavering support during the first leg, Jadesola highlighted the SNWFSC’s commitment to providing maximum backing for the Falcons. As the squad prepares for the decisive clash, they are set to depart Abuja for Lagos on Sunday night before embarking on their journey to South Africa. Upon arrival in Johannesburg on Monday morning, they will undertake a brief road trip to Pretoria. Official training at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium is scheduled for Monday evening, a crucial session ahead of the high-stakes encounter.
