The Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has hailed the start of production at the Dangote Refinery, noting it as a monumental advancement for Nigeria’s energy independence and economic growth. The union expressed enthusiasm about the new opportunities for employment and socio-economic development that this landmark achievement will bring to Nigeria.
In a congratulatory letter addressed to Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Dangote Group, NUPENG’s General Secretary, Afolabi Olawale, praised both President Bola Tinubu and Dangote. The letter celebrated the historic launch of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, at the world’s largest single-train petroleum refinery and petrochemical plant.
