Victor osimhen’s journey over the past few months has been full of unexpected twists in his football career. After an impressive season with Napoli, where he became a key figure in their attack, Osimhen was expected to make a move during the summer transfer window to high-profile clubs like Chelsea, PSG, which were all linked with the Nigeria football star, but none of these potential moves materialized due to hefty demand price tag of €130 million and osimhen’s salary expectations.
As the transfer window neared its close, it appeared Osimhen would remain with Napoli, tension had risen, especially after the club signed Romelu Lukaku. This situation led to fears that Osimhen would be benched until at least January. However, in a surprising turn of event a last minute deal was struck with Galatasaray, who managed to secure him on a season-long loan.
The Istanbul-based club will cover majority of Osimhen salary, which is reported to be around €9-10 million for the season. Additionally, the deal includes a €75 million release clause and an option for Napoli to extend his contract until 2027 if he is not sold by june 2025. This move provide Osimhen with a opportunity to continue playing at a high level while awaiting further developments in his career.
