“Bwala Affirms President Tinubu’s Commitment to Campaign Promises, Dismisses Election Distractions”

Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser on Public Communications and Media to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has reiterated the president’s steadfast commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises, dismissing any notions that the upcoming election cycle is distracting him from his governance duties. Speaking to journalists at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday, Bwala made it clear that the current focus remains on the work at hand and not the political discussions about future elections.

“The time for politicking is not yet here,” Bwala said, adding, “When that time comes, we will be ready for everyone.” His statement underscores the president’s dedication to his presidential agenda and the ongoing initiatives aimed at national development.

Bwala further expressed confidence that President Tinubu’s achievements in office, which are already yielding positive results, would naturally endear him to the Nigerian electorate. He suggested that the president’s agenda, which is contributing to the nation’s progress, would inspire the people to support him for a second term. “The president is constitutionally more than qualified to contest for a second term. And, God willing, if he has the life and health, we hope he will pursue his mandate as provided by the Constitution,” Bwala remarked.

Bwala also defended President Tinubu’s leadership, calling it transformative and forward-looking, with a clear commitment to advancing Nigeria’s national interests.

Addressing concerns about the political climate within the APC, particularly following the ruling party’s defeat in Ghana’s recent presidential election, Bwala dismissed any comparisons. He emphasized that Nigerians are keenly aware of the tangible progress made under President Tinubu’s leadership, which continues to resonate with the public.
