APC Southeast Nigeria Holds Zonal Meeting in Ebonyi State to Assess Progress and Challenges

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Southeast Nigeria recently held its Zonal Meeting in Ebonyi State, aiming to evaluate the party’s successes and identify ongoing challenges. The event took place at the Christian Ecumenical Center in Abakaliki, the state’s capital.

APC National Chairman Abdulahi Umar Ganduje addressed attendees, urging the Igbo people to unite and overcome perceived marginalization by elevating the Southeast to a prominent political position in Nigeria.

Deputy National Chairman Emma Eneukwu called on Southern stakeholders of the party to work diligently to achieve President Ahmed Tinubu’s vision of a prosperous Nigeria under APC leadership.

Imo State Governor and APC Southeast Leader Hope Uzodimma expressed gratitude for the party’s achievements in the region. He praised President Tinubu for exceeding expectations in serving Nigerians both domestically and abroad, while acknowledging the current economic hardships. Uzodimma urged Nigerians to remain hopeful, citing policies aimed at alleviating these difficulties.

Host Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State welcomed all party members and supporters, emphasizing dialogue over violence in resolving disagreements.

National Vice Chairman for Southeast Nigeria, Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu, encouraged resilience among party members and supporters, advising them to remain undeterred by intimidation. He highlighted the importance of canvassing for votes ahead of the upcoming Local Government Area election in Ebonyi State.

Abia State APC Chairman Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu noted the growing envy of the party’s achievements in Abia, while Imo State APC Chairman Macdonald Ebere commended Governor Uzodimma for his significant contributions to infrastructure and human capital development.

Other notable attendees included Ebonyi State Chairman Stanley Okoroemegha, Enugu State Chairman Ugochukwu Agballah, and Anambra State Chairman Basil Ejidike, among others.
