The Nigerian Government has announced an increase in passport fees, effective from September 1, 2024. This move, aimed at maintaining the quality and integrity of the Nigerian Standard Passport, was confirmed by DCI Kenneth Udo, the spokesperson for the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), in a statement released on Wednesday.
According to the announcement, the fee for the 32-page passport booklet with a five-year validity will rise from N35,000 to N50,000. Additionally, the fee for the 64-page passport booklet, valid for 10 years, will be increased from N70,000 to N100,000.
Udo also noted that the fees for Nigerians in the diaspora would remain unchanged.
