Hajiya Nana Shettima, the wife of Nigeria’s Vice President, passionately called upon the women of Borno State to throw their support behind President Bola Tinubu in his endeavors for the nation’s advancement.
This appeal was voiced during a gathering in Maiduguri, Borno State, where she graciously hosted a luncheon in honor of the women of the state, marking the celebration of Eid Al-Fitr this year.
Speaking to an audience comprising prominent figures such as Falmata Zulum, the wife of the Borno State Governor, as well as female political leaders and stakeholders, Mrs. Shettima emphasized the significance of bolstering the All Progressives Congress (APC) across all echelons of governance.
Expressing her gratitude for their presence and unwavering support, she urged the attendees to extend their goodwill, backing, and affection to the APC-led administrations at the local, state, and federal levels.
Mrs. Shettima also instilled a sense of optimism among Nigerians, particularly women, highlighting the government’s diligent efforts to enhance their livelihoods. Promising further assistance on behalf of Nigeria’s First Lady, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, she announced forthcoming empowerment initiatives scheduled for the 16th of the month, encouraging the audience to maintain hope amidst challenges. In response, Mrs. Zulum conveyed heartfelt appreciation to the Vice President’s wife for her hospitality and pledged continued support for President Tinubu’s government.
