Aliko Dangote, Chairman of the Dangote Foundation, and Bill Gates are among the distinguished guests attending the current National Economic Council (NEC) meeting, which is being led by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Council Chamber in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting also includes several state governors, such as Babagana Zulum of Borno, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, Duoye Diri of Bayelsa, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi, and Lawan Dauda of Zamfara, among others. In addition, deputy governors, some ministers, and various state commissioners are present.
The council is expected to conduct a comprehensive review of the nation’s economic policies, including a discussion on the recent increase in fuel prices.
