Just In: Hamas Leader Yahya Sinwar’s Fate Uncertain as Israel Confirms Targeted Strike in Gaza

Israel’s military is investigating whether Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was killed in a strike during operations in the Gaza Strip.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated, “During IDF operations in the Gaza Strip, three terrorists were eliminated. The IDF and ISA are checking the possibility that one of the terrorists was Yahya Sinwar. At this stage, the identity of the terrorists cannot be confirmed.”

Sinwar is a key figure in Hamas and is considered the “mastermind” behind the deadly October 7 attacks that triggered Israel’s ground invasion of Gaza. He has not been seen publicly since the attacks and is believed to be hiding in the extensive tunnel network beneath Gaza.

This is a developing story, and more details will follow as they become available.
