Investigation Clears Bobrisky of Claims of Improper Custody During Prison Sentence

The investigative panel assigned to look into allegations that convicted cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, was allowed to stay outside the custodial center while serving his six-month prison sentence has submitted its findings, which dismiss the claims.

Uju Agomoh, the Executive Director and founder of Prisoners’ Rehabilitation and Welfare Action (PRAWA), a member of the panel, reported that there was no evidence indicating that Bobrisky spent time outside the prison during his sentence, which spanned from April 12 to August 5, 2024.

“The panel did not find any evidence thus far that suggested Mr. Okuneye slept outside the custodial center during the period of his imprisonment,” Agomoh stated, adding that Bobrisky served his correctional sentence with the usual remission applicable to such cases.
