Aderemi Oseni, Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on the Federal Road Maintenance Agency, announced on Monday that the Federal Government, led by President Bola Tinubu, is set to repair federal roads across Nigeria. This initiative is part of the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by citizens.
Oseni, who represents the Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency in Oyo State, made this statement during a thank-you visit to the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat in Oke-Ado, Ibadan.
Expressing concern over the poor condition of roads nationwide, Oseni urged Nigerians to be patient with Tinubu, emphasizing that these issues are not solely the fault of the current administration. “The challenges we face, including deteriorating roads, have roots that extend beyond this government. President Tinubu is committed to addressing the problems left by previous administrations and is actively working on the Renewed Hope Agenda to repair all federal roads, thus easing the suffering of the people,” he stated.
During his visit, Oseni also offered condolences to the APC for the passing of its late Chairman, Isaac Omodewu, and expressed gratitude to party members for their support during his election.
He called for unity within the party as it prepares for the 2027 elections, urging executive members to develop strategies for regaining power.
Oseni contributed N10 million to the party for operational expenses. In response, acting Chairman Olayide Abas thanked him for his visit and praised his efforts to make a positive impact in his constituency.
