Lagos, Nigeria – June 12, 2024: Renowned Fuji musician Adewale Ayuba, popularly known as “Mr. Johnson,” is set to release a new album titled “Isé Olúwa” on June 14, in honor of Nigeria’s Democracy Day. During a press interview on Wednesday in Lagos, Ayuba shared that the four-track album aims to offer solace and encouragement to Nigerians facing economic challenges.
Ayuba highlighted that one of the tracks, “Humility,” stresses that Nigeria is not a failed nation. The song’s recurring slogan, “Nigeria ko wo,” translates to “Nigeria is not collapsed,” aiming to instill hope and assure listeners that the country will overcome its current hardships.
“The tracks in the ‘Isé Olúwa’ album are: ‘Humility’, ‘Jo’folorun’, ‘Jafo Authority’, and ‘Bonsue On The Go USA’,” Ayuba stated. “This album is crafted to advise and uplift Nigerians during these challenging times.”
Ayuba emphasized that the country’s issues are not new and called for patience and support for the government. “We elected a Nigerian president, not one from another country. We must be patient and work together to make things better,” he added, noting that economic difficulties did not start recently and that President Bola Tinubu is actively working to address them. Ayuba also stressed the importance of prayers for the nation’s leaders for divine guidance.
The album also promotes themes of love and unity, with Ayuba underscoring the Yoruba concept of “Ife Eleyele,” or unconditional love, which he believes is crucial for societal harmony. “When we show this kind of love, we will create a better society,” he said, urging Nigerians to put aside tribal, religious, and political differences.
Ayuba announced that the album would be available on all music distribution platforms upon release, encouraging fans worldwide to look forward to it and be inspired by its messages.
