Afrobeats Star Rema Donates 105 Million Naira to Christ Embassy Church in Benin.

Afrobeats sensation Divine Ikubor, widely known as Rema, has generously donated 105 million naira to various departments of Christ Embassy church in Benin, Edo State, as a gesture of gratitude for the support and kindness shown to him and his family.

Rema, who has been deeply moved by the church’s role in his life, emphasized that his donation is meant to honor and give glory to God rather than seek personal recognition. He pledged 40 million naira for the church’s infrastructure, 20 million naira for Rhapsody of Realities, and 25 million naira for the infrastructure of the church’s teen department. Additionally, he committed 20 million naira to support widows within the church community.

The artist recalled how Christ Embassy supported his family during a challenging period following the death of his father when he was eight years old. Rema remembered the church’s intervention, including Pastor Joy and Pastor Thomas, who helped his mother by opening a shop that enabled her to provide for the family.

Currently, Rema is on a homecoming tour in his state and has been involved in several notable activities. He arrived in Benin last Tuesday and participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the 6,000-capacity Edo Arena, which is named in his honor by Governor Godwin Obaseki. Rema also paid a visit to the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, at his palace, where he was presented with a royal plaque in anticipation of his upcoming concert.
