NNPC E&P Ltd. and NOSL Commence Oil Production at OML 13 in Akwa Ibom State

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Exploration and Production Limited (NNPC E&P Ltd.) and Natural Oilfield Services Ltd. (NOSL) have proudly announced the successful initiation of oil production at Oil Mining Lease (OML) 13 in Akwa Ibom State.

NNPC E&P Ltd., a flagship upstream subsidiary of NNPC Ltd., partnered with NOSL, a subsidiary of Sterling Oil Exploration & Energy Production Company Ltd (SEEPCO), to achieve this significant milestone.

Mr. Olufemi Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd., disclosed this development in a statement released on Sunday, underscoring that production commenced on May 6 with an initial output of 6,000 barrels of oil. This production rate is set to escalate to 40,000 barrels per day by May 27, 2024.

Soneye hailed the commencement of oil flow from OML 13 as a historic achievement, symbolizing the commitment of NNPC E&P Ltd. and NOSL to drive growth and development within Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, an integral component of the nation’s economy.
