Nigerian youngster, Kelechi Nwakali, has officially signed a five-year deal contract with London club, Arsenal FC.
The former Golden Eaglets captain has been granted a work permit, following his eligibility to sign a professional contract on his 18-year birthday, which qualifies him to play for the North London club. But the move necesitated his mother and other family members joining him at the Emirates before signing the contract.
Few hours after sealing the contract, the ASJ Academy player took to twitter to express his happiness. “I am officially an @Arsenal player. Thanks to God and my family and friends. Hard work starts now!” Nwakali wrote on his twitter handle on Thursday. Nwakali is expected to play some part in Arsene Wenger’s pre-season plans, before a decision is made whether he has to go out on loan or not.
