Aisha Buhari denies receiving money from High Commission

7 January 2017 National

Aisha Buhari has denied claims she uses revenue generated from the Nigerian High Commission in the United Kingdom to pay the hotel bills of her large entourage during her visits to the country.

Recall that an online report had alleged that High Commission spends a minimum of £7,000 for hospitality on each of Mrs. Buhari’s trips to the United Kingdom.

The report claimed that some documents show that the sum of £14,100.80 was paid to a company, Savanna Construction Limited, for what was described as “call out report on 31 air-conditioning units in the High Commission building.”

Aisha, in a statement signed by her Special Adviser on Media, Olumide Ajayi, refuted the claims saying they were all lies and baseless accusations.
